Busy and tired.
before vic left for another four days of business trip we got a humidifier. It's not just any humidifier, it's in the shape of a very vibrant green frog. :) Man, I have so totally taken over his room in the past two years.
Am putting together a holiday party at his house for his friends and some of mine. Have decided on the appetizers and desserts, def the alcohol will be taken care of. Can't think of one or two main courses to really fill ppl up though. There are roughly 15 ppl, I've ordered Hummus, falafel and such from Falafel King, 40 pan seared dumplings from King Fung Garden, a whole sheet of Tiramisu from Maria Di Napoli. Was going to make a huge pot of Guiness beef stew but there are two vegetarians in the crowd, though, we've never really catered to them before. Should I just dish out another $50 and have a tray of pasta ordered? Was gonna make a tray of steak tips, with 13 carnivores...that can run steep!
Our two year anniversary will be this Friday, I have nothing planned. Since he had all these loose plans and the business trip looming, we didn't bother to make any solid plans for our anniversary. I also told him that we should take turns planning, he got last year so I'll plan and execute this year. Um, failed. Been so busy that I haven't had the time (it's really just lack of energy) to look into anything meaningful. Of course, we can always go to a nice restaurant but that's really lame. He's not big into food anyway, yeah i know, bummer. I'll have the energy next year or two years later to plan a dinner at home.
feeling a bit blah.

Imagine if Darth Vader used this instead. Return of the Jedi would have been much shorter with Han reappearing on Bespin when Leia remotely frees him from the Carbonite. But then we wouldn't have slave Leia costumes. So thank you George Lucas for giving us slave Leia... but it still doesn't make up for Jar Jar.
Tourists... it's only $2.29 a month with this coupon.
I've been using Carbonite for several years now. It now backs up all my laptops and desktops at the sign shop. The service is quick, unlimited, you get to manage your own encryption key, and restoration is painless. While competitor Mozy has manned up and is offering unlimited backups around the same monthly price right now, I've been able to snag Carbonite at a discount every time my renewal period comes around. Here it is again with coupon code CUST50 which gives a 50% discount. Ends Dec 31.
This deal is hotter than the two suns of Tatooine combined, so props to Jane for pointing it out.

On a more personal note, a passenger in a taxi decided to open his door while I was rolling by in a parking lot. He knicked and scraped a long layer of paint off my driver's side mirror. I decided to sidestep confrontation and just grabbed the cab's license plate and went on my business. When it rains, it gets stupid. :-\
